BYK USA LLC operates its largest U.S. production facility in Gonzales, Texas, manufacturing specialty chemical additives used across coatings, plastics, printing inks, feed additives, and energy applications. BYK identifies the Gonzales site as its largest production facility, with more than 134,000 square meters of space and a workforce of roughly 170 employees. The plant produces more than 70 clay-based additives that provide thickening, gelling, rheological, mechanical, barrier, and flame-retardant properties to finished formulations. BYK has invested substantially in the Gonzales operation, including a modern production and research facility for organoclay and GARAMITE additives, plus expanded environmental and utility infrastructure. The site maintains ISO-based environmental and quality systems and combines production, research and development, processing, and technical support. Its U.S. manufacturing operation provides specialty chemical products for industrial customers worldwide.
