General Motors Flint Assembly is a major automotive manufacturing facility in Flint, Michigan, and GM’s longest-running North American assembly plant. The facility opened in 1947 and currently builds heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, including multiple HD and performance-oriented configurations. Flint Assembly integrates vehicle body construction, painting, final assembly, quality inspection, material handling, and production logistics into a large-scale automotive manufacturing operation. The site has played an important role in GM’s history and has produced numerous Chevrolet models over the decades. Its current production supports GM’s full-size truck portfolio and North American vehicle supply chain. The plant is located at 3100 Van Slyke Road in Flint and remains an active vehicle assembly operation with dedicated production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams supporting high-volume truck manufacturing.
