About the company
Samsung Semiconductor’s Taylor Fab is a major semiconductor manufacturing site in Taylor, Texas and part of Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s expanding U.S. foundry footprint. Samsung says the Taylor facility is designed to increase U.S. manufacturing capacity for advanced semiconductor solutions serving applications such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, 5G, automotive technology, and other next-generation products. The site spans more than 1,200 acres and is being developed as a large-scale advanced manufacturing campus with new logic fabs and supporting research and development infrastructure. Samsung’s U.S. semiconductor network already includes its Austin manufacturing operation, while the Taylor project extends that domestic production capability. The Taylor site is located along FM 973 in Taylor, Texas, near Austin, and is supported by thousands of employees and a growing Central Texas semiconductor ecosystem. Samsung identifies Taylor as one of its specialized U.S. semiconductor manufacturing sites.
